Israeli cannabis publication "The Cannigma" is being featured in an upcoming episode of American star Ted Danson's science and technology show.
The segment on "Advancements With Ted Danson" will run on CNBC on April 24, and include Cannigma CEO Elana Goldberg discussing the importance of education about cannabis in order to move the industry forward.
Goldberg will appear alongside cannabis researcher and pediatrician Dr. Orit Stolar and Perry Davidson, the CEO of medical vaporizer company Syke.
"If lawmakers properly understand what we now know from cannabis research about the plant, they are going to be able to make the right laws which are going to help cannabis businesses really thrive," Goldberg says in the episode.
"Education is going to be crucial when it comes to the cannabis industry expanding," she says.
Cannigma says it produces cannabis-related content using a scientific approach to the subject.
While the use of cannabis is banned under U.S. federal law, multiple Republican and Democratic leaning states have legalized the plant for medical and recreational use in recent years.
U.S. President Joe Biden has indicated that he supports the states' right to decide their own laws on the issue.
In Israel, cannabis is legal for medical purposes and the country is a world leader in the field.
Israel has partially decriminalized cannabis for private use and a 2017 survey found that it has the world's highest percentage of recreational users between the ages of 16 and 65.
