The Israeli communications satellite Dror 1 was launched into space Sunday morning from Cape Canaveral, Florida. Watch the rocket carrying the satellite take off:
The satellite was launched shortly after 8:00 a.m. (Israel time) aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 launcher.
"Dror 1," according to IAI, is intended to provide a solution to the satellite communications needs of the State of Israel for about 15 years.
