A 9-year-old Jewish girl from Teaneck, New Jersey, was seriously injured after a stone was thrown at a school bus traveling on a state highway, smashing through a window and striking her in the head. Authorities are investigating the incident as a suspected antisemitic attack, according to the website Yeshiva World News.
The incident occurred as two buses from a Jewish school were returning from a class trip. According to reports, a stone roughly the size of a baseball was thrown at one of the buses, striking the girl, a third-grade student.

The child suffered a skull injury and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. Teaneck police and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office have opened an investigation. No arrests have been announced, and authorities have asked anyone with information to come forward.
Although the bus had no identifying markings, a pro-Palestinian demonstration was taking place nearby at the time. Investigators suspect that one of the demonstrators may have thrown the stone. About a quarter of Teaneck’s residents are Jewish, including many religious and traditional families.
