The incident occurred as two buses from a Jewish school were returning from a class trip. According to reports, a stone roughly the size of a baseball was thrown at one of the buses, striking the girl, a third-grade student.

The stone shattered the window and struck the girl
Although the bus had no identifying markings, a pro-Palestinian demonstration was taking place nearby at the time. Investigators suspect that one of the demonstrators may have thrown the stone. About a quarter of Teaneck’s residents are Jewish, including many religious and traditional families.
