Yitzhak Rosenberg, just 8 months old, was killed in a car accident Friday in the parking lot of a kosher supermarket in Jackson Township, New Jersey. His mother and sister were seriously injured. Two women were arrested following the crash, VINnews reported.
According to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, Maria CobonGuzman, 20, of Trenton, was charged with manslaughter, operating a vehicle without ever having held a valid driver’s license and two counts of causing injury with a vehicle.
The second woman, Ariadna Lazaro-Flores, 22, of Toms River, was charged with knowingly engaging in conduct that created a substantial risk of death to another person.

According to authorities, CobonGuzman had never held a valid driver’s license, either in New Jersey or in any other state. Prosecutors allege that Lazaro-Flores knew this but nevertheless allowed her to drive the vehicle.
The accident occurred in the parking lot of NPGS, a kosher supermarket on West County Line Road. CobonGuzman was driving a Ford Fusion that struck Yitzhak, his mother, Golda Chana, and his sister, Rachel.
Yitzhak was critically injured and taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, where he was later pronounced dead. His mother and sister also were seriously injured and taken to the hospital. According to reports in the community, Golda Chana required emergency surgery.
Both women were arrested and taken to the Ocean County Jail.
