A Polish far-right lawmaker sparked outrage on Holocaust Remembrance Day after displaying a modified Israeli flag bearing a Nazi swastika during a parliamentary debate in Warsaw.
Konrad Berkowicz, a member of the Confederation party, showed the image during a session in the Polish parliament on Tuesday, replacing the Star of David on the Israeli flag with a swastika.

The incident, which occurred during International Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremonies, was widely condemned as an antisemitic provocation and an example of “Holocaust inversion,” in which Nazi symbols are used to attack Israel.
Sacha Roytman, CEO of the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM), called the act “a disgraceful desecration” and said it amounted to “spitting in the faces of survivors.”
Roytman urged the Polish parliamentary leadership to condemn the incident and impose disciplinary measures against the lawmaker, saying it was not legitimate political criticism but a distortion of history in a country where millions of Jews were murdered during the Holocaust.
