Hanukkah candle-lighting ceremonies at the Western Wall this year are being held with the participation of former hostages, representatives of bereaved families, wounded Israel Defense Forces soldiers, IDF troops, police officers and members of the security forces.
The menorah used in the central ceremony at the Western Wall is made entirely of cast bronze. It stands more than two meters tall and nearly two meters wide, weighs approximately one ton and took about seven months to produce.
