World’s largest Jewish speed dating event returns after Tu B’Av

Set for August 12, the free virtual event will bring together over 6,500 Jewish singles worldwide for an evening of guided, values-based video dates—aiming to turn the spirit of Tu B’Av into lasting relationships across time zones and backgrounds

Just after Tu B’Av—the Jewish festival of love and connection—thousands of Jewish singles from around the world will come together for what is expected to be the largest virtual speed dating event in Jewish history.
Set for Tuesday, August 12, 2025, the event offers a unique opportunity for meaningful, guided conversations across continents and time zones. Building on the momentum of previous years, this global gathering aims to turn the spirit of Tu B’Av into lasting relationships, all through the power of shared values, purposeful matchmaking and the simplicity of a well-timed conversation.
Three leading Jewish organizations, AISH, CoronaCrush and Partners in Torah, will join forces with over 30 Jewish partners across the globe in a virtual gathering expected to bring together more than 6,500 Jewish singles from around the world for one night, with two time zone options in both Israel and U.S. Eastern Time.
This groundbreaking event builds on last year's tremendous success, where 6,000 singles participated and many found lasting relationships, including several marriages. The impact of this initiative cannot be overstated, as evidenced by stories like Daniel and Chaya from Arizona, who lived in the same building for years but only recognized their compatibility after meeting during last year's event. Their speed date led to marriage, highlighting how this format can reveal connections that might otherwise remain undiscovered.
"When you bring together mission-driven partners who care about Jewish connection, magic happens," said Ian Mark, CEO of CoronaCrush. "We're building something real, and people can feel it."
Rabbi Steven Burg, CEO of AISH, emphasizes the deeper significance of the event: "Jewish relationships don't just create personal happiness, they build continuity and ensure a Jewish future. Each new couple represents not just a union of two individuals, but a connection to Jewish tradition that stretches back thousands of years and will help build our future as individuals and a community. AISH is committed to creating these opportunities for meaningful connection."
Interestingly, speed dating as a concept was originally developed by the AISH branch in Los Angeles in the late 1990s and has since been adopted worldwide. This innovative approach to dating is now coming full circle, as AISH continues to pioneer new ways of bringing Jewish singles together in the digital age.

The event offers participants up to seven short video dates in one hour, matched based on shared values and preferences. With two convenient time options, no cost to participate, and a feedback form after the event to express interest and get matched, the format has proven to be warm, energizing and surprisingly effective, even for those initially skeptical about virtual dating.
Previous participants have overwhelmingly praised the event, with testimonials highlighting its efficiency, enjoyable atmosphere, and success in creating meaningful connections. From Isaiah, 27, who appreciated the "perfect amount of time to see if there is potential," to Kira, 57, who found it "fun, free and convenient," the event appeals to Jewish singles across all age groups and backgrounds.
The organizing partners bring complementary strengths to this collaboration: CoronaCrush began as a pandemic-era Facebook group and has grown into a movement of over 30,000 Jewish singles; AISH operates globally to inspire Jewish pride, connection and purpose; and Partners in Torah facilitates one-on-one learning relationships that have built thousands of deep connections across the Jewish world.
The online speed dating event will take place on Tuesday, August 12, and will have two options for timing. The first is 9:00 p.m. Israel time (2:00 PM EDT) while the second will take place at 9:00 p.m. EDT. The event aims to engage Jewish singles 18 and above from all backgrounds, regardless of religious affiliation. Each person will receive up to seven dates with Jewish singles who match their selected preferences. Matches are available in all languages. The event is being offered free of charge.
