Ohad Munder-Zichri was abducted by Hamas terrorists from Nir Oz on October 7 with his mother Keren, and his grandparents Abraham and Ruth; his uncle Roee was murdered

On Monday, Ohad Munder-Zichri from Kfar Saba turned 9 but instead of celebrating with friends, a cake, and balloons, he became a prisoner of the Hamas terror group after he was abducted to Gaza in the heinous terror attack on October 7.

Three other members of the Munder family were also identified by the IDF as abducted. Ohad's grandparents, Abraham and Ruth Munder, both 79 and his mother, Keren, 54, are among the missing. Keren's brother, Roee Munder, was murdered in the attack on Nir Oz and was laid to rest on Sunday.
Ohad's father, Avi remained home in Kfar Saba and did not join his wife and son when they went to visit the grandparents. "The last contact we had with them was on Saturday morning when my father corresponded with Keren, who told him terrorists had infiltrated and she was hearing gunfire. We haven't heard from them since," Roi, Ohad's brother, told Ynet its sister publication Yediot Aharonot

Only last Wednesday the family was contacted by the IDF and told that their loved ones were indeed abducted. He stressed the immense significance of bringing the children back, emphasizing that there is no compromise on this matter. He expressed a glimmer of hope, stating, "Every person with a heart would want their relatives to return from captivity. We have faith that the country is doing everything it can to bring them back. We simply cannot fathom any other scenario."

"The idea that my nine-year-old brother is held by sadists is beyond comprehension. He is a gifted child and his mother's entire world," he said about his sister's son. Reflecting on his late brother who was murdered in the attack, he said, "Roi was an optimistic person who loved soccer and photography.
