Keter showcased hundreds of new products this week at Spoga+gafa, the world’s largest outdoor lifestyle trade show, unveiling new categories including decorative flooring, wall cladding, fencing, outdoor lighting, garden furniture, outdoor kitchens and an easy-to-assemble garden studio.
The Israeli company exhibited in a 1,400-square-meter pavilion, the largest at the show, which drew 30,000 visitors and exhibitors from 60 countries.
Keter said the pavilion was designed around the theme “The Art of Outdoor Living,” reflecting the growing trend of treating balconies, gardens and backyards as extensions of the home. The display featured distinct zones for garden furniture, sheds and storage solutions, home organization, gardening, toolboxes and private “secret rooms,” where major retailers were shown technological innovations that will not be publicly revealed for several years.
“We needed an enormous space — 1,400 square meters, the largest among all exhibitors — to demonstrate to the world’s top buyers and retailers the sheer volume of products we’ve developed and designed,” said Yael Batzer-Friedman, Keter’s global vice president of marketing.
Batzer-Friedman said the display marked a major expansion for Keter into new product lines and categories, with an emphasis on indoor-outdoor living, natural textures, new accessories, colors and packaging.
Among the new categories were outdoor flooring tiles in wood-look decking and patterned ceramic styles; exterior wall cladding designed to mimic natural materials such as wood; and fencing made from recycled materials with the look and feel of wood, without the maintenance required by real wood.
Keter said many of the new products are based on DecoCoat, a patent-protected technology developed by the company that allows plastic, much of it recycled, to simulate natural materials. The company said the technology enables it to expand into new categories while maintaining a unified design language, durability and recyclability.
The company also introduced outdoor bars and kitchens, saying the line is intended to make large, stylish and durable outdoor cooking and entertaining products available at more accessible prices.
Keter also entered the outdoor lighting category with designer solar-powered lights meant to complement its garden furniture and dining collections.
Another new product is My Studio, a full garden studio designed for easy self-assembly. The company said it can be used as a home office, studio or clinic, with acoustic insulation, infrastructure for electricity and air conditioning and natural light.
Keter also unveiled new products in existing categories, including stone-look garden furniture, deep sun loungers, “Go Bar” coolers in new sizes and colors, planters, raised garden beds, outdoor storage products and sheds.
The company said the products are made with an average of about 40% recycled material per product and are fully recyclable.
“This year we showcased one of our most innovative and expansive displays ever, marking a new stage in our development,” Keter Group CEO Udi Sagi said. “Two years ago, we revealed DecoCoat technology, which was a turning point for us, and this year we’re showing just how far we can take it.”
Keter is a global home and garden products company that designs and manufactures durable products made with recycled materials and sold in markets around the world.
