Jerusalem real estate expo to showcase capital’s building boom in Manhattan

The May 28 Coming Home to Jerusalem event will present thousands of housing units and urban renewal projects to American Jews as the capital undergoes major building momentum

A first-of-its-kind Jerusalem real estate and investment expo will be held May 28 in Midtown Manhattan, organizers said.
The Coming Home to Jerusalem expo is being led by the Jerusalem Municipality, the Israel Builders Center and the Jerusalem Development Authority. Unlike previous events, organizers said, it will focus exclusively on Jerusalem and introduce the American Jewish community to the wave of construction, urban renewal and development reshaping the city.

The event is expected to draw about 1,000 participants from across the Jewish community, including leaders of major Jewish communities across the United States. Against the backdrop of rising antisemitism worldwide, organizers said the expo will highlight Jerusalem’s role as both a national and personal anchor for Jews in the Diaspora.
Participants will meet with real estate developers and industry professionals presenting a range of projects and thousands of housing units now under construction in Jerusalem.

The initiative comes amid what organizers describe as an unprecedented construction boom under Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion, including a tripling of building permits and the advancement of tens of thousands of new housing units. The stated goal is to help transform Jerusalem into a modern, thriving city with a high quality of life and contemporary urban living.
The day will conclude with a gala evening honoring Jerusalem, attended by Lion and prominent Jewish community leaders from New York.

The professional partner leading the initiative is the Israel Builders Center, headed by Eran Rolls. The group is Israel’s largest and oldest professional organization in the construction and real estate sector, according to organizers.
“Every Jew in the world has two homes: the home they live in, and Jerusalem,” said Rolls, chairman of the Israel Builders Center. “Our goal is to make that second home an accessible reality. Jerusalem is experiencing unprecedented momentum, and we are bringing the forefront of Israel’s real estate industry to Manhattan to enable the community to become an integral part of the capital’s future.”
