The Los Angeles Olympics are still two and a half years away, but fans can already begin the process of buying tickets, organizers said Wednesday.
Starting Wednesday, the public can register on the LA28 organizing committee’s website to enter a lottery for the first batch of tickets, which will go on sale officially in the spring. Registration is free and requires opening an online account.

According to organizers, tickets for competitions across all sports will be offered at prices starting at $28.
The next phase will run from March 31 through April 17, when those who register will be notified by email whether they were selected in the lottery and granted a time window to purchase tickets. Ticket sales for this initial phase will take place from April 9 to April 19.
Additional registration and purchasing windows will open later in the year. Ticket sales for the Paralympic Games are scheduled to begin in 2027.
More than 800 events will be held across more than 40 venues during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, giving fans multiple opportunities to watch their preferred athletes. The Olympic program will include 36 sports, while the Paralympic Games will feature 23 sports.
Final ticket prices will depend on demand for specific sports and venues. LA28 plans to offer a total of 14 million tickets, with at least 1 million priced at $28. Organizers said one-third of all tickets will cost less than $100.
More expensive premium packages will also be sold later, including options with accommodations and access to private suites. These packages will require deposits ranging from $1,000 to $10,000.
The Olympic opening ceremony is scheduled for July 14, 2028, and will be held for the first time at two venues: the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
The 2028 Games will mark the third time Los Angeles has hosted the Olympics, following 1932 and 1984, and the first Olympics held in the United States since the Atlanta Games in 1996.
