Israel’s rhythmic gymnastics team won the gold medal in the five balls final at the World Cup in Baku on Sunday, continuing a strong showing in the competition in Azerbaijan.
The team delivered a high-quality routine to secure first place with a score of 26.650.

The squad includes Agam Gev (Hapoel Rishon LeZion), Arina Gvozdetskaia (Maccabi Ashdod), Abigail Schwed (Hapoel Rishon LeZion), Taya Sokolenko (Maccabi Tel Aviv), Sofia Prezhyn (Maccabi Petah Tikva) and Keren Sobol (Holon Municipal Club).
In the individual competition, Meital Sumkin (Hapoel Rishon LeZion) finished fifth in the ball final with a score of 27.950.
The group team is coached by Ayelet Zussman, Natalia Stepanova and Ela Samofalov, with Alona Koshavatsky as assistant coach and Natasha Asmolov as team manager. Samofalov is also serving as a judge at the competition, with Roni Shachori as team masseuse.
The individual gymnasts are coached by Zussman and Julieta Cantaluppi, with Victoria Filanovsky serving as a judge.
Finals in the clubs routine (Alona Tal Franco), ribbon (Somkin) and the group all-around routine are scheduled to take place later in the day.
