Thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators filled the streets of Bologna on Friday ahead of the EuroLeague game between the local Virtus team and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Protesters denounced the decision to hold the match, called for Israel to be suspended from international sports competitions, and clashed with Italian police deployed in the area.
