Dolgopyat does it again, captures third European floor exercise gold

Artem Dolgopyat won his third European title in the floor exercise, scoring 14.466 points in Friday's final in Zagreb; The Olympic champion topped the podium again after previous victories in 2020 and 2022

Artem Dolgopyat continues to make history in Israeli gymnastics. The Maccabi Tel Aviv gymnast won the gold medal in the floor exercise at the European Championships in Zagreb on Friday evening after delivering an excellent performance in the final and earning a score of 14.466 points.
For Dolgopyat, it is the third European title of his career on the apparatus where he has achieved his greatest successes. The Israeli, who won Olympic gold at the Tokyo 2020 Games and silver at Paris 2024, continues to cement his status as one of the greatest Israeli athletes of all time.

Dolgopyat had previously won the European floor exercise title in 2020 and 2022. He also finished as European runner-up four times, in 2018, 2019, 2023 and 2024. He now adds a third gold medal and continues his impressive dominance on the apparatus.
Dolgopyat's record on the world stage is also particularly impressive. He has three World Championship medals in the floor exercise: a gold medal in 2023 and two silver medals, in 2017 and 2019.

Israel Gymnastics Federation chairman Avi Sagi congratulated Dolgopyat on his achievement.
"Artem once again proves that he is made of the stuff great champions are made of. For years, on the biggest stages in the world, he has continued to deliver tremendous achievements for the State of Israel, and this evening he adds a third European championship title to his illustrious résumé," Sagi said.
"Behind these achievements are exceptional talent, determination, hard work and the ability to rise to the occasion time and again in the decisive moments. We are endlessly proud of Artem and congratulate him, Sergei and the entire professional staff on another great and moving moment for Israeli gymnastics and Israeli sports as a whole. Dolgopyat did not achieve the feat alone. The senior national team at the European Championships is accompanied by national team coach Sergey Vaisburg, coaches Andrei Gribanov and Ilan Korchak, judges Jacob Levy and Ilan Gazit and physiotherapist Adam Badir.
