AI app platform Dazl emerges from stealth with $10M seed round

Former TikTok executive joins Wix co-founder to launch production-ready application builder

Dazl, an artificial intelligence platform for building production-ready applications, announced Monday it has raised $10 million in seed funding and emerged from stealth mode.
The round was led by 40RTY Fund, with participation from website builder Wix and its co-founder Nadav Abrahami. Assaf Sagy, TikTok's former global head of gaming, will serve as CEO and co-founder alongside Abrahami. In addition, some 30 Wix employees are joining the new company in key roles.

The platform aims to address limitations in current AI app-building tools, which the company says often produce incomplete prototypes rather than market-ready applications. Dazl's technology is designed to provide more accurate prompt interpretation and maintain context during the development process, reducing the trial-and-error cycles common with existing tools.
"Generative AI can produce prototypes, but it doesn't yet empower creators to build apps that reflect their vision," said Abrahami, who co-founded Wix in 2006. "Our goal is to unlock that next level — so app creation can be just as expressive as web design became with Wix."
The company targets entrepreneurs, marketers, and designers who want to create applications without hiring development teams. Current generative app tools have created demand among these users but often fail to deliver desired visual and functional results, according to Dazl.
Roy Saar, general partner at 40RTY Fund and an early Wix investor, said the founding team's experience was a key factor in the investment decision.
"Having played a key role in building one of the most impactful platforms of the digital age, Nadav's legacy with Wix is invaluable," Saar said. "Alongside Assaf, a seasoned leader in product innovation, this duo is poised to solve one of the most pressing issues in today's product development."
Sagy, who oversaw gaming initiatives at TikTok, drew parallels between media evolution and software development tools.
"Every major shift in media has come when creators gained access to better tools — from mobile photo editing to short-form video to social creation," Sagy said. "With Dazl, we're bringing that same leap to product making."
The platform's proprietary technology focuses on bridging the gap between creative intent and functional software, allowing users to build applications with what the company calls "production-ready" quality rather than basic prototypes.
With dozens of former Wix engineers on board, Dazl aims to make production-ready AI applications accessible to a broader range of creators.
