Amazon Web Services said one of its availability zones in the UAE remained without power after “objects” struck the data center, causing sparks and a fire.
The company reported partial recovery in the UAE but advised customers to use alternative regions as it investigates what it described as additional connectivity issues and elevated error rates.
Amazon did not confirm whether the UAE data center incident was linked to the Iranian strikes.
The company did not provide a reason for the connectivity issues at its Bahrain facility and did not respond to a request for further comment.
