Israel is on the map, and now on the internet map. Starting Tuesday, the leading tourism portal Expedia will begin marketing the Holy Land.
Until now, Expedia has not marketed Israel on its portal, in which millions of reservations are made daily by surfers worldwide.
The main reason for entering Israel into the portal is the significant rise in tourism to Israel in recent years, especially from the United States.
The move will be marked in a festive ceremony Tuesday attended by representatives of the company and Tourism Minister Isaac Herzog.
Expedia sells package holidays, flight tickets, hotel reservations, car rentals and cruises. The company has millions of clients around the world, and is committed to finding the most competitive prices on the internet in the areas it deals with.
