Alma, a new boutique hotel, was opened recently on 23 Yavne Street in Tel Aviv.
The hotel, initiated by siblings Adi and Irit Strauss, was built in a historic preservation site at a total investment of some NIS 12 million ($3 million).
The hotel, which has three floors stretching over 1,200 square meters (12,917 square feet), includes eight rooms and six suites, as well as a restaurant called Alma Lounge, run by Chef Yonatan Roshfeld.
Irit Strauss is responsible for the hotel's design concept with the help of several leading architects, including Amnon Bar Or, who specializes in preservation sites, and Shaltiel Kastiel Architecture and Interior Design Ltd.
This is the second hotel initiated by the Strauss siblings. It was preceded by the Ritz-Carlton in Herzliya, which they built together with the Tidhar Group at a total investment of NIS 600 million ($155 million).
