Israelis' overnight stays in Germany set a new record in 2012, according to figures released by the German National Tourist Office in Tel Aviv.
The number of Israeli stays totaled 660,936 in the past year, a 19.2% increase compared to 2011 and higher than the total stays of tourists from Canada, India and Turkey.
In recent years Israelis have discovered the Black Forest region in southwestern Germany, and over the past year Israeli stays in the area's hotels and guesthouses have gone up by 42%.
