VIDEO – The city of Jerusalem plans to build a cable car system that will allow tourists and visitors easier access to the city’s ancient sites.
One of the lines would provide service between the Dung Gate near the Western Wall and the Mount of Olives,
while the second would provide service between Dung Gate and the Khan Theater.
The need for better transportation in the area shows the growing number of tourists who visit the holy city each year. City officials say that in addition to helping with traffic flow, the new system will provide breathtaking views of the city.
