Budapest – European elegance without the price tag
Budapest is one of my favorite cities in Europe. It’s stylish, historic, super photogenic – and surprisingly affordable. You’ll find grand architecture, river views, thermal baths, vibrant markets and a buzzing food scene, all within easy reach.
Top 3 attractions:
- Széchenyi Thermal Baths – The perfect way to start (or end) a day. Dozens of pools with natural hot spring water, surrounded by stunning baroque buildings.
- Buda Castle & Fisherman’s Bastion – My go-to spot for panoramic views. Great for walking, photos, and feeling like you’re inside a fairy tale.
- Great Market Hall – A food and culture heaven. Local cheeses, paprika, pastries and beautiful souvenirs under one impressive roof.

- Hotel Moments Budapest – Elegant and central, with big rooms and an amazing breakfast. Loved the blend of classic and modern.
- Roombach Hotel Budapest Center – Bold, colorful, young vibe. Great for solo travelers or friends on a budget.
- Bo33 Hotel Family & Suites – Quiet location, spacious rooms and a rooftop jacuzzi. Great value for families or couples.
Georgia – nature, culture and the warmest people
Georgia took me by surprise. It’s raw, real, and full of beauty – both natural and human. From the mountains of Kazbegi to the streets of Tbilisi and the coast of Batumi, there’s something here for every kind of traveler.
Top 3 attractions:
- Old Tbilisi – Winding streets, wooden balconies, sulfur baths and hidden cafés. I loved getting lost here for hours.
- Kazbegi region – Snow-capped peaks, rivers, wildflowers and the breathtaking Gergeti Church. It’s postcard-perfect.
- Dry Bridge Market – Vintage treasures, Soviet-era oddities, paintings and local art. I always find something unique.
My 3 hotel picks:
- Stamba Hotel (Tbilisi) – A stylish, urban retreat in a former print house. Full of character and cool design.
- KAS Diamond – A stunning and luxurious stay nestled in nature. This gem combines breathtaking scenery, modern comfort, and peaceful vibes. Highly recommended for a true Georgian escape.
- Paragraph Resort (Shekvetili) – Right on the Black Sea with a huge pool that stretches over the water. Total relaxation.
Crete – island life with a twist
Crete is one of those islands that gives you a bit of everything: beaches, ancient ruins, gorgeous towns, mountain villages and incredible food. It’s ideal for anyone who wants to balance relaxation with exploration.
Top 3 attractions:
- Elafonissi Beach – Turquoise water, pink sand, and shallow coves. I spent a whole day here and didn’t want to leave.
- Chania Old Town – Romantic, colorful and perfect for wandering. It’s full of charm, tiny shops and sunset spots.
- Isla Brown Chania – A breathtaking new addition to Crete’s luxury scene. Sleek, modern, and located right by the sea, this hotel is all about design, relaxation, and indulgence. One of my absolute favorites!

Cyprus – my easiest getaway
Cyprus is always a good idea. It’s just a short flight away, but it feels like a whole different vibe. Beaches, great food, modern hotels and plenty to explore – I come back every year.
Top 3 attractions:
- Limassol Promenade – Beachside cafés, bikes, and palm trees. I love walking here at sunset.
- Nicosia Old City – A mix of cultures, old city walls, quirky shops and great coffee spots.
- Pissouri Beach – Quieter than the rest, with stunning cliffs and calm water – ideal for a relaxed beach day or paddleboarding.
My 3 hotel picks:
- City of Dreams Mediterranean – The new and spectacular hotel is located in Limassol, one of Cyprus’ main cities. It offers over 500 rooms and suites with open views of the Mediterranean Sea, a large spa, expansive pool complex, and fine dining restaurants led by international chefs.
