Air Haifa said Thursday it has resumed flights from Haifa to Larnaca and Athens, with service to Eilat set to restart Sunday, April 26. Additional routes to Paphos, Rhodes, Crete, Karpathos and Mykonos are expected to follow.
Tickets will be offered at a 25% discount through May 18. The airline has returned to Haifa Airport after temporarily relocating operations to Ben Gurion Airport during Operation Roaring Lion.
Several foreign carriers have also resumed service to Israel in recent days, though most airlines continue to suspend flights. Cyprus Airways restarted daily Tel Aviv-Larnaca flights Thursday, while Blue Bird Airways resumed Tel Aviv-Athens service last week using a leased ALK Airlines aircraft. Greece’s Sky Express and Cyprus-based TUS Airways have also renewed operations, alongside Etihad Airways on the Abu Dhabi-Tel Aviv route and flydubai.
Ethiopian Airlines has resumed flights to Israel, as have Russia’s Red Wings, Georgian Airways and FlyOne. Aegean Airlines, Greece’s national carrier, is expected to return next week, bringing forward its relaunch of Tel Aviv flights to April 28.
