After nearly six months of suspension for security reasons, Israeli airlines Arkia and El Al’s Sun d’Or subsidiary announced Friday they will resume regular flights to Paphos, Cyprus, starting July 13.
Arkia said it will offer daily service—seven flights per week—pending all necessary security approvals. Sun d’Or also confirmed it will restart flights on the same date, operating six times weekly.
“Paphos is among the most popular summer destinations for Israelis and we’re thrilled to restore full service,” Arkia said.

CEO Oz Berlović added, “We’re returning our customers to one of Cyprus’s most beautiful and beloved destinations. My thanks go first to security teams for their persistence and support in reopening this route.”
The flights were halted in January after the Shin Bet internal security service banned air travel to Paphos due to “various security concerns.” Since then, Israeli tourists have flown instead to Larnaca.
According to a check by Ynet, a one-way Arkia ticket to Paphos on July 14 is priced at roughly $332 (before baggage), while Sun d’Or offers fares starting at $99 one-way.
