KLM resumes flights to Israel amid Middle East tensions

Airline says will restart Tel Aviv flights on Feb. 2 and 3 with adjusted schedule; from Feb. 1 through Feb. 6, carrier will also operate flights to Dubai, also with schedule adjustments

KLM said late Saturday that it will resume flights to Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia after previously suspending routes and avoiding large parts of the Middle East because of rising regional tensions.
The airline said it will restart flights to Tel Aviv on Feb. 2 and 3 with an adjusted schedule. From Feb. 1 through Feb. 6, it will also operate flights to Dubai, also with schedule adjustments.

KLM, the Dutch arm of the Air France-KLM group, said it has already resumed flights to other destinations in the region, including Riyadh and Dammam.
Last week, the airline announced it would avoid flying over large parts of the Middle East until further notice due to security concerns linked to escalating regional tensions.
