Kiryat Motzkin, a city in the Haifa Bay metropolitan area in northern Israel, is set to get its first hotel.
Mamash Hotels, part of the Shatit Group owned by businessman Shalom Shitrit, will build the Park Eden hotel in the city at an estimated investment of about 55 million shekels, the company said. Shitrit previously developed the Kedem Hotel in Tirat Carmel, south of Haifa.
The planned hotel will cover about 7,500 square meters and include about 100 rooms, including family rooms, as well as a rooftop pool and spa. It will also feature balconies totaling about 1,500 square meters.
The project recently received a building permit after winning a tender from the Israel Land Authority about a year ago. Completion is expected in 2029.
Shatit Group is also building the Zamarin Winery project in Zichron Yaakov, which includes a new winery, visitors center, hospitality area and commercial complex.
The Kiryat Motzkin hotel will be located near the city’s zoo and theater. Shitrit said it is planned as a mixed-use complex intended to serve as a family destination, while also focusing on business activity during the week with large conference and event halls.

The hotel is also expected to include suites for brides preparing for weddings and a dedicated business floor serving demand from companies in the area.
Shitrit said the location offers access to major attractions across northern Israel, from the Galilee to the Mediterranean coast, making it a base for regional trips. “We like doing pioneering things, like the Kedem Hotel we opened in Tirat Carmel,” Shitrit said. “Some people raised eyebrows then, and today it is one of the most successful hotels in the country.”
He said the hotel is also located near Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, a major Israeli defense company, which he said has steady demand for about 30 hotel rooms a day. “That is why we will build a dedicated business floor,” he said.
