Just after the announcement that Israeli airlines are resuming flights to Paphos, the Israel Canada Hotels chain has officially announced the opening of the Brown Paphos Hills Resort, located on the hills of the Cypriot resort city. The resort, owned by Rami Levy Real Estate and a group of additional investors, was established with an investment of approximately $23.7 million. Israel Canada Hotels will manage the new property.
The hotel features 87 rooms and suites in various sizes, suitable for couples, families, and guests seeking suites with private pools. Amenities include three outdoor pools, a children's pool, a synagogue, kids’ and teen clubs, a conference room, expansive lawns for weddings and events, bicycles for guest use, and the highlight—a 1,000-square-meter spa complex. The spa includes a treatment and massage center, two saunas, massage showers, an indoor pool, a gym, and a beauty treatment center.
To celebrate the opening, special rates are being offered. For example, those booking three nights in July can enjoy bed and breakfast starting at €180 per couple, along with a complimentary dinner at one of the hotel’s restaurants.
"Brown Paphos Hills combines luxury and elegance, with kosher meals supervised by a rabbi," said Israel Canada Hotels in a statement. "The resort operates two separate restaurants—'Brown Kitchen,' a dairy restaurant with panoramic views serving breakfast and fish-based meals for lunch and dinner, and 'RAKIA,' a meat and grill restaurant. Chef Dana Shapira, responsible for the resort’s culinary concept, has managed kosher hotel kitchens in Paphos for several years and created a unique culinary experience called 'Happy Kosher Cuisine.'"

Reuven Elkes, CEO and partner at Israel Canada Hotels, said ahead of the opening: "This is a significant step in the chain’s overseas expansion. The new Paphos Hills joins our 11 hotels in Greece, and I have no doubt it will become the spearhead of Israel Canada and the Brown Collection we recently acquired in Paphos. Later this year, we plan to open more hotels both in Israel and abroad."
On Friday, Arkia and Sun d'Or (a subsidiary of El Al) announced they are resuming direct flights to Paphos. For about six months, Israeli airlines were prohibited by the Shin Bet from flying to the city for security reasons and were instead forced to land in Larnaca.
