Israel launches discounted winter passport rates

Seasonal rates begin November 1 and run through February 2026, offering significant savings for online applicants, including first-time passports and renewals for adults and minors; discounts also apply to eligible soldiers and reservists

The Population and Immigration Authority announced that its seasonal winter passport rates will take effect on November 1 and remain available through the end of February 2026.
Passports purchased under this rate must be redeemed by the end of April 2026 and are only available to those who complete payment through the authority’s website.

For the first time, winter-rate passport renewals can also be processed at designated self-service kiosks located in select Interior Ministry branches nationwide — a departure from previous years when the discount was available exclusively online.
The winter discount offers significant savings. Adults aged 18 and older will pay 175 shekels for a first-time passport or renewal when applying online, compared to 280 shekels during the summer period. The cost rises to 300 shekels if processed at an Interior Ministry office.
For children and minors under 18, the winter online rate is 105 shekels, compared to 145 shekels in the summer.
In cases of lost, stolen or damaged passports, adults will pay 495 shekels under the winter rate, down from 600 shekels in the summer. The corresponding winter rate for minors is 265 shekels, compared to 305 shekels in the summer period.
Eligible individuals, such as soldiers and reservists recognized for discounts, will receive the reduced winter rate automatically, with the final amount shown during the payment process.
