Qatar Airways has been named the best airline in the world in the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards, widely regarded as the "Oscars of aviation." Singapore Airlines came in second, while Cathay Pacific placed third. Israel’s national carrier, El Al, was again absent from Skytrax’s list of the world’s top 100 airlines.
The annual rankings, published since 1999, are based on over 22 million online surveys completed by passengers from more than 100 countries. The latest survey was conducted between September 2024 and May 2025, covering over 325 airlines.
