A total of 200 million shekels (about $52 million) has been invested in Gordonia Zichron Yaakov, which is scheduled to open on February 1.
Located at the edge of the historic town with sweeping views of the Mediterranean, the hotel includes 141 rooms: 12 with private pools, 6 deluxe rooms with jacuzzi, 3 executive suites with jacuzzi, and one presidential suite with a private pool.

Every room features a design that allows guests to enjoy the view from the bed, and also from the shower.
The highlight of the property is an 81-meter (265-foot) infinity pool situated in the hotel’s central public area. While not covered, the pool is open year-round and heated in winter, creating a warm-water experience reminiscent of hot springs.
Next to the pool is a two-level luxury spa featuring seven individual treatment rooms, four couples’ treatment rooms, a Watsu therapy pool, jet pool, Turkish bath, dry sauna, wet sauna, and a refreshing waterfall.
Architect Oshrat Ozery led the design, which prioritizes preserving the area's natural beauty. The hotel features numerous open-air spaces that emphasize the landscape and create opportunities for guests to connect.
“Thoughtful design isn’t just about making a beautiful space,” said Ozery. “It’s about creating an environment that tells a story and invites guests to experience it with all their senses."
Beyond the Instagram-worthy views, Gordonia Zichron Yaakov also offers a refined culinary experience. At the heart of the open kitchen, where you can see every meal being prepared, are three huge clay ovens. The menu will highlight seasonal and locally sourced produce. From 4 to 7 p.m., the "Gordonia Salon" will offer complimentary light refreshments and drinks.
Planning a family vacation? Think again. The hotel welcomes children aged 10 and above throughout the year. During the Israeli holidays – Rosh Hashanah, Passover, Shavuot, and Sukkot – it will host children of all ages.
Don’t expect kids’ clubs or entertainment either. “That’s simply not the experience we offer,” said Gadi Priber, CEO of Gordonia Hotels. “There are plenty of family hotels in Israel that do just that."
The hotel follows a half-board model, including breakfast, dinner, and the afternoon Gordonia Salon service. So how much does it cost? During its soft launch, a midweek night will run close to 2,000 shekels (about $520).
The Gordonia hotel brand began with its flagship property in Ma’ale HaHamisha in the Jerusalem Hills and is now expanding. In addition to the Zichron Yaakov location opening in February, a new Gordonia hotel is slated to open on the Golan coast in January 2027.
The group currently has 10 other properties under development and plans to open five more across Israel by 2029, including in Eilat, Caesarea, Netanya, Sapir Park, and Mount Arbel.
