As of Monday afternoon, 56 people have died in Israel from complications related to coronavirus.
The Health Ministry earlier reported the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Israel currently stands at 8,649. Health authorities said there has been a rise of 760 confirmed cases in the past 24 hours.
A 90-year-old woman has died from virus-related complications, the seventh victim at the Mishan assisted living facility in Be'er Sheva.
Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv said two of its coronavirus patients have passed away in the last hours. The two are a 72-year-old man and an 87-year-old woman, who both suffered from underlying health problems.
The Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem also reported that two coronavirus patients who were treated at the hospital passed away from complications related to COVID-19.
The latest victims are a 77-year-old man and a 91year-old woman who both suffered from serious underlying health conditions.
The hospital said they are treating 96 coronavirus patients, with 24 remaining in serious condition, including 11 who need respiratory support.
Earlier, three people have died at the Yitzhak Shamir Medical Center near Tel Aviv over the past 24 hours, including a 96-year-old woman with underlying health conditions, an 80-year-old man with a terminal illness and a 60-year-old man whose organ systems have collapsed as a result of the disease.
On Sunday, a 98-year-old woman with underlying health conditions died at Shaare Tzedek Medical Center in Jerusalem from coronavirus related complications.
In addition, a 61-year-old woman - hospitalized at Wolfson Medical Center in Holon - and a 63-year-old man - was hospitalized at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem - both passed away from complications related to the virus.
Another fatality is an 84-year-old Dalia Salmona who had been treated at Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva, having contracted the virus at Mishan nursing home in the southern city where five other COVID-19 victims lived. The assisted living facility has been heavily criticized for neglecting the elderly residents.
All victims suffered from underlying health conditions.
