U.S. indictment: Threatened Jewish institutions in the country 'to instill fear'

Clifton Spurlock (55) from the state of Maryland in the U.S. was arrested for sending dozens of threatening letters to Jewish institutions in the state, which included references to the war in Gaza and to the murder last month of Yaron Lishinsky and Sara Milgram, staff members of the Israeli Embassy in Washington. According to the indictment, Spurlock sent at least 34 letters since March last year, some of which were addressed by name to staff members, and included threats of attacks. In the FBI investigation, he admitted that he sent the letters with the aim of instilling fear, and evidence linking him to the letters was found in his home.
