U.S. President Donald Trump revealed conversations he had with hostage survivors. In one conversation, Trump said he asked the returnees if they encountered any mercy or kindness from their captors. 'I asked if anyone looked at them and said don't worry, it will be okay? Did they ever give you hope?' According to him, the hostage survivors responded negatively. 'They would slap us in the face. They never did anything like that, not even one of them,' Trump quoted one of the hostage survivors. 'This stunned me, because even in the most terrible situations, there are sometimes such people. But here - not one,' he said.
