The U.S. Embassy in Israel announced the resumption of regular operations today, following the removal of restrictions imposed by the Home Front Command. The directive for embassy employees and their family members to stay in protected spaces has been canceled, but they are still prohibited from leaving the Greater Tel Aviv area, Jerusalem and Beer Sheva – except for travel between these areas, including to Ben Gurion Airport and the Allenby Bridge crossing. The embassy emphasized that any American citizen wishing to leave Israel or the West Bank is requested to do so "by any possible means," even if not ideal from their perspective. Consular services, including passport issuance and birth registrations for American citizens, will resume full operations from this morning in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Visa services will resume operation on Monday, June 30.
