Israeli Consul in New York Ophir Akunis addressed the attack in Colorado, saying: "For many weeks I have been warning about the incitement and brainwashing funded by Qatar on U.S. campuses, which penetrates and influences young people across the country." According to him, "The organized incitement supported by money that largely comes from Qatar raises the level of violence and antisemitism, leading to attacks in Washington and Colorado tonight." Akunis added: "Without boundaries and with no moral compass, they are attacking supporters of releasing our hostages from the tunnels in Gaza that were built by a Nazi terrorist organization with Qatari funding."
