  • Amjad was convicted of all charges against him: Five counts of murder, two counts of weapons trafficking and one count of conspiracy to commit murder.
"Vengeance over a child's spilled blood is one the devil himself has yet to devise," the prosecutor quoted Israel 'snational poet Hayyim Nahman Bialik in his sentencing arguments. "These words express how we feel in view of the defendant's heinous acts, the murders of three little children, including a baby, and their parents, in their own home."
The acts, the prosecution added, were those of "inconceivable, monstrous cruelty… Acts of primitive hatred that are beyond comprehension."
Amjad entered the courtroom smiling and said nothing throughout the sentencing hearing. His attorney chose not argue before the court either.
