Israel's Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon welcomed the imposition of sanctions in the United States against Francesca Albanese, the organization's rapporteur on the Palestinian territories.
"I commend the U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, for his decision to impose sanctions against the antisemitic 'human rights activist' Albanese. Her one-sided and relentless campaign against Israel and the U.S. has long crossed the line between defending human rights and antisemitic propaganda. Albanese consistently damages the UN's credibility by spreading false and dangerous narratives completely detached from reality. We will not remain silent and will not stop continuing to expose the antisemitic forces operating under the auspices of the UN."
