The U.S. House Appropriations Committee has published its budget proposal for 2026, which includes pressure on the UN to reveal the findings of the investigation into UNRWA employees who were involved in the October 7 attack. According to the proposal, funding for the UN Secretariat will be frozen until a full report is submitted and those involved are suspended. Additionally, support will be withheld from the Human Rights Council, international courts and immunity will be removed in cases of terrorism and corruption.
