New York's Tabooniya restaurant, owned by Israeli Nova massacre survivor, to close

The New York restaurant Tabooniya, owned by Nova massacre survivor Raif Rashed from Daliyat al-Carmel, will close after only six months. In a post published on social media, Rashed wrote that the decision was made with a "heavy heart" after it became clear that high operating costs and low customer traffic made it impossible to continue operations. However, he clarified that "Tabooniya" will continue to operate as a catering service and participate in events throughout New York. Rashed opened the restaurant after surviving the October 7 massacre and shared that food became his therapy and his way to defeat terrorism.
