Mamdani referenced the joint campus of Technion and Cornell University in the city, saying that an Israeli institution involved in developing military technologies "should not enjoy benefits and funding from New York City." His campaign stated that if elected mayor, he intends to "reassess Cornell's partnership with the Israeli institution."
