Hostage Ohad Yahalomi confirmed killed in Gaza captivity

Kibbutz Nir Oz confirmed Thursday morning that Ohad Yahalomi, 50, who was abducted from his home on Oct. 7, was killed while being held hostage in Gaza. His body was among those returned to Israel in the latest hostage deal handover.
"A devoted family man, Ohad loved sports and was a passionate hiker, knowing every trail and step in the desert he cherished," the kibbutz said in a statement.
Yahalomi is survived by his wife and three young children.
