NYPD investigating 3 cases of violence between pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian demonstrators

The New York Police Department is investigating at least three cases of violence by pro-Israel demonstrators that occurred in the city in the past day, as well as a case of an attack on Jewish students on the Columbia University campus, after they hung posters of Israeli prisoners of war. In one of the incidents, a man, 34, who was waving a Palestinian flag in the Williamsburg neighborhood was attacked by an ultra-Orthodox Jewish man, who beat him with a pole that was attached to the flag, according to the NYPD. In another incident, the police reported that a group of pro-Israel protesters driving around Brooklyn in cars wrapped in Israeli flags attacked three men walking down the street at night, after they shouted at them "Free Palestine." A pro-Palestinian activist was accused of attacking Jewish students an incident at Columbia University. (Daniel Edelson, New York)
