During the meeting, Sullivan talked with the families about the six hostages who were murdered in recent days by Hamas, including Israeli-American Hersh Goldberg-Polin. "Sullivan discussed the ongoing diplomatic efforts at the highest levels of the U.S. administration to reach a deal that would secure the release of the remaining hostages, and emphasized the deep commitment of President Joe Biden and his administration to bring the families' loved ones home as soon as possible," the White House said.
