Dozens of protesters gathered outside the prestigious New York concert venue, Carnegie Hall, to demonstrate against a performance by the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra. The protesters carried signs reading 'Israel controls America' and 'No amount of violins can silence the screams of burning children,' while chanting slogans against Israel. Inside the hall, the orchestra conducted by Lahav Shani opened its festive series with works by Paul Ben-Haim, Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky.
