U.S. authorities have filed federal hate crime charges against Mohammed Suleiman, an Egyptian illegal resident in the U.S., who carried out the attack in Colorado. According to an affidavit submitted to the federal court, a search near his arrest site revealed 14 additional Molotov cocktails - besides the two he used - prepared in advance using wine bottles and jars with red rags and clear 87-octane gasoline. During a lengthy interrogation, Suleiman admitted he had planned the attack for a year, waiting to execute it until his daughter finished high school.
