Hate crimes against Jews in US hit record high in 2023, FBI says

The number of hate crimes targeting Jews in the United States reached a record high of 1,832 incidents in 2023, according to FBI data.
This marks the highest number since the FBI began tracking such data in 1991 and represents a 63% increase compared to 2022.
Hate crimes against Jews accounted for 15% of all hate crimes in the U.S. and 68% of religiously motivated hate crimes, despite Jews making up only about 2% of the population.
