The U.S. House Judiciary and Foreign Affairs committees have launched an investigation into six Israeli and American nonprofit organizations that received federal funding during the Biden administration. The probe aims to determine whether the funds were used to undermine Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu amid the 2023 protests against the government’s judicial reform. Among the organizations under scrutiny is the Movement for Quality Government in Israel. The committees have demanded that the NGOs submit documents and correspondence related to their funding requests and the use of the grants by April 9. They have also ordered the preservation of all records related to the grants.
