23 arrested in pro-Palestinian protest at Indiana University

Special police forces raided the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington and arrested more than 23 students and pro-Palestinian demonstrators who had built a protest tent there and refused to evacuate. After about 15 minutes of confrontations between the protesters and the police forces, the detainees were transferred to the local jail for trespassing and resisting the law enforcement authorities. The university clarified that it gave the students a series of verbal and written warnings asking them to remove the tents before calling the police to the scene. (Daniel Edelson, New York)
