UN chief: 'Relieved by Edan Alexander's release, permanent Gaza ceasefire needed'

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated, 'I welcome the release of Edan Alexander and feel deep relief that he has been freed and is now reunited with his family and loved ones after the difficult and traumatic period he endured. I urgently reiterate my call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and for the immediate and unconditional release of all remaining hostages. All hostages must be treated with humanity and dignity.'
