Hours after a Moroccan citizen wounded five Israelis in a stabbing attack in Tel Aviv's Nahalat Binyamin neighborhood on Tuesday evening, a 30-year-old Moroccan man was arrested in the Italian city of Naples for allegedly planning to carry out an attack against the city's Jewish community, Italian police said. The crime he was charged with is "collusion with terrorist purposes, including international terrorism or undermining the democratic order."

According to Italian media, the suspect, who was arrested on Wednesday morning, conducted reconnaissance for 20 minutes search near a synagogue in Naples on October 20. Among the materials he posted online were videos of attacks, massacres, beheadings and the capture and torture of non-Muslims, with music and verses from the Quran praising the killing of civilians and terrorist perpetrators playing in the background.
In Italy, the identity of the terrorist was not made public, but only that his initials are P.M.

Italian police said in a statement that "the investigation, which began last summer and was conducted with the help of intelligence information and computerized interrogation techniques, led to the collection of evidence of the suspect's affiliation with the terrorist organization ISIS, as well as his activity in distributing propaganda and multimedia content related to the organization, including training materials, through technological means. The investigation also revealed expressions indicating violent intentions toward the Jewish community in Naples. The suspect also expressed his desire to obtain a knife in order to carry out his terrorist intentions."
In Italy, it was also reported that additional searches were conducted for people connected to the suspect, but the details of their involvement have not yet been revealed.
