23 U.S. Congress members have approached the Wikimedia Foundation, demanding increased oversight of Wikipedia following claims of anti-Israel bias and antisemitism from editors. In their letter, the petitioners wrote that there is 'concerning lack of enforcement' of editing rules, and called for increased transparency and prevention of foreign influence from entities like Hamas and Iran. The request was sent following an Anti-Defamation League report that revealed coordinated attempts to edit content against Israel.
